Question 1

The origins of the earliest constellations likely go back to prehistory.

Different cultures and countries adopted their own constellations, some of which lasted into the early 20th century before today’s constellations were internationally recognized.

People used them to relate stories of their beliefs, experiences, creation, or mythology.

A constellation is a group of stars that forms an imaginary outline or pattern on the celestial sphere, typically representing an animal, mythological person or creature, a god, or an inanimate object.

Question 2

Amino acids also contribute to cellular energy metabolism by providing a carbon source for entry into the citric acid cycle.

Proteins are made of amino acids arranged in a linear chain joined together by peptide bonds.

Other proteins have structural or mechanical functions, such as those that form the cytoskeleton, a system of scaffolding that maintains the cell shape.

Many proteins are enzymes that catalyze the chemical reactions in metabolism.

Proteins are also important in cell signaling, immune responses, cell adhesion, active transport across membranes, and the cell cycle.

Question 3

In such a mixture, a solute is a substance dissolved in another substance, known as a solvent.

The mixing process of a solution happens at a scale where the effects of chemical polarity are involved, resulting in interactions that are specific to solvation.

The concentration of a solute in a solution is the mass of that solute expressed as a percentage of the mass of the whole solution.

The solution assumes the phase of the solvent when the solvent is the larger fraction of the mixture, as is commonly the case.

In chemistry, a solution is a special type of homogeneous mixture composed of two or more substances.
